The three Dosha’s Vata, Pitta and Kapha in Sanskrit mean "that which can cause problems." They regulate the physical and mental functions of living beings and give it its individual constitution.
Ayurveda teaches that in every human being, even in the weather, in the days and seasons, as well as any foods the three Dosha’s are included as aspects of the respective constitution. They are a fundamental control and regulation system. The proportions of Vata, Pitta and Kapha determine the strengths, weaknesses, susceptibility to disease and reactions options of each body.
